Masala Chai with Cow Milk

Scaling rules
  • Base recipe = 2 cups
  • Each extra cup:
    • 200 ml water
    • 1 tsp chai
    • 1 tsp sugar
    • 200 ml cow milk
Ingredients
    Steps
    • Add 500 ml water to a pot
    • With 3 heaped tsp masala chai
    • And fresh ginger slices
    • Bring to a boil
    • Simmer vigorously for 10 min

    • Add 3 tsp sugar
    • Add 500 ml cow milk
    • Bring back to a boil
    • Simmer for 10 min (if 2 cups)
    • Or until reduced by half (if more than 2 cups)

    • Remove from heat
    • Let sit for 5 min

    • Strain through mesh
    • Discard solids
    • Serve
